Taxes. Not a pretty word. But what if you could substitute a
new tax for an existing tax? This is the idea of a Double Dividend. Dr. De Perthuis, a leading climate researcher,
explained that this was the basis of CDC Climate’s proposed green taxes. Taxes
to prevent pollution would replace the unpopular labour tax, and therefore the
public would have a clean living environment with no additional fees. Not so
bad for a tax.
