Cowspiracy

For a while, I have told myself that if I eat sustainable grass-fed meat that would be enough. However after watching Cowspiracy, I realized that there is no such thing as sustainable animal agriculture. Try to wrap your brain around this statistic. The water production of one hamburger is equivalent to a human showering for two months. Two months.

Animal agriculture is responsible for 90% of rainforest deforestation. It seems like many of these environmental problems link back to animal agriculture. Luckily, this is one problem that does have a consumer- based solution. Dare yourself to take meat out of your diet. If you have already done that go a step further and try a plant-based diet.

You want to cut your carbon footprint? Now you can by 50%. Here is a great guide to show you how to receive essentials such as protein and calcium in a plant based diet. Don't let anyone tell you it's not possible. http://vegyouth.com/choosing-veg/eating-healthy/eating-healthy-guide/
